Day 5

I am seeing so many good things come about in only 5 days that it is hard to imagine what the end of this month will look like. One of the things we chose to fast, was tv. It has done wonders, instead of us just hanging out and staring at the boob tube at night, we are actually talking and sharing with each other, reading the bible together, praying together, sensing the presence of God together on a daily basis. This is the family I have always longed for and it was really up to us all along. God is just waiting on us. Revival doesn't just break out, people break out. When we are ready to put down everything else and lift Him up, things happen. Great things! There is a great peace in our home lately and I am so thankful for it. I have also noticed that it is so much easier to say and do the right things when you feel like you are doing all the right things. As a man, I feel so much responsibility to be the spiritual leader in my home and to always take us to greater depths in God, that when I don't feel I am doing that, the guilt can seem overwhelming and I find myself overlydefensive. Just focusing on my relationship with the Lord and chasing after Him and His will seems to solve all problems in all areas, funny huh
