The Power of Prayer

The power of prayer is really amazing. Since the start of our 30 days many things have happened, among them the Lord blessed me with new friends as well as additional prayer requests.

The first new friend introduced me to a quick, relatively easy workout to help heal my back and strengthen the core. We also found we have other things in common. Meeting this new friend was truly an appointment with God. I have been using this new workout and am already feeling better. Praise God!

I continue to pray for Husain Al-Sherifi, the son of church member Tanya. I am trusting the Lord for a complete speedy recovery from the automobile accident he was in on January 30th this year.

I've had a couple of people come in to my workplace in the last couple of weeks and mention a 17 yr old young man that had a brain aneurysm burst while watching a school play back in November. His name is Brandon. I have added him to my prayer list as I am believing in a complete and full recovery for him soon.

I have observed that I have become more tuned in to certain things people say. I had a gentleman come in the where I work to drop off a package and he spoke so softly I barely heard what he said. What he said made me stop what I was doing and run after him. He made a very quiet simple statement- I lost my brother. I found out what had happened. His brother had been run over by a car/truck nearby the night before. The man was in shock. So, I prayed for the Lord to give him comfort and peace. I'm still praying for that man. He didn't give me his name, that's okay because the Lord knows exactly who he is and when I pray for him I see him in my mind's eye.

Today I made another friend while getting taxes done. It turns out that her son is attending the school that my son graduated from in 2005. I've invited her to church for the Love Dare study. I hope she attends. I look forward to our Love Dare study, hoping and praying that we have a full class. Hope to see you there too!
