God has called us to be salt and light in this world... that probably isn't revelation for anyone reading this. But to really act as salt, an agent to preserve the usefulness of man kind, and light, the force to push back darkness and reveal God's plan, is a challenge for even the most skilled practitioner of Christian living. I had a city council meeting tonight and the calling to be just that, salt and light, in place where neither is either looked for or really appreciated hit me right between the eyes. I have a renewed purpose in my heart to carry out that two-fold directive in every circle of influence that I am allowed by the Lord to establish.
What circles of influence do you have and how can you be the salt and light you are called to be in those places? Any thoughts...?

good stuff, Robin and I were talking last night about this. She has been contemplating whether or not to take the cheer coach position. We decided she should as it is a great opportunity to closely disciple a group of girls on a daily basis. It is THE way to impact a community or the world in general by lighting a fire in just a few peoples lives around you and watch the effects to multiply. We are really waking up and thinking more eternally and realizing that we have to stop thinking about what we FEEL like doing and and jump on every opportunity to impact the world around us with the life changing love of a REAL JESUS.
